On and off the track

Max Chilton spent two seasons in F1 with the small Marussia team (2013 and 2014) and made history as the first rookie to finish every race of his debut season. With little room to progress at the back of the grid, he moved to the United States, and with Chip Ganassi he enjoyed his finest day at the 2017 Indy 500, leading much of the closing stages before finishing fourth. He announced his retirement from IndyCar in 2022 and today serves as head development driver for McMurtry Automotive and its electric Speirling.
