How 2023 made history
The 2023 season went down in history as the most dominant F1 has ever seen. Red Bull won 21 of the 22 races, a record win rate for a single year at 95.45 percent, and Max Verstappen alone took 19 of them, including a record run of ten consecutive victories. The Dutchman scored 575 points, another outright record, more than runner-up Sergio Perez and third placed Lewis Hamilton managed combined. His third title was clinched in unprecedented fashion in a sprint race, in Qatar, with six Grands Prix still to run. Perez contributed wins in Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan. The only exception to the domination came in Singapore, where Carlos Sainz won for Ferrari with a masterclass in tyre management, the sole victory by any other team all year.

The season packed 22 races across 20 countries, with 3 different winners over 2023: Max Verstappen (19), Sergio Pérez (2), Carlos Sainz (1). Max Verstappen won more than anyone, 19 of the 22 races. The title went to Max Verstappen (Netherlands), driving for Red Bull, the third of the driver's career. On the raw sums of the table, Max Verstappen closed the year on 530 points, 270 more than Sergio Pérez.
