The year in numbers

The season packed 14 races across 14 countries, with 9 different winners over 1975: Niki Lauda (5), Emerson Fittipaldi (2), Carlos Pace (1), Jody Scheckter (1), Jochen Mass (1), James Hunt (1), Carlos Reutemann (1), Vittorio Brambilla (1), Clay Regazzoni (1). Niki Lauda won more than anyone, 5 of the 14 races. The title went to Niki Lauda (Austria), driving for Ferrari, the first of the driver's career. On the raw sums of the table, Niki Lauda closed the year on 64.5 points, 19.5 more than Emerson Fittipaldi. A note for anyone checking official records: until 1990 the rules dropped each driver's worst results, so the raw sums in the table can differ from the official 1975 scores.
