On and off the track

The New Zealander debuted as a substitute at AlphaTauri in 2023 and earned the Red Bull seat alongside Verstappen for 2025, only to suffer one of the fastest demotions of the modern era: after just two races he was returned to Racing Bulls from the Japanese Grand Prix onward, swapping places with Yuki Tsunoda. He rebuilt his confidence at the Faenza squad with strong drives through the rest of 2025. He remains a full-time Racing Bulls driver in 2026, contracted through the end of the season, and treats the Red Bull chapter as fuel to prove he belongs.

Liam Lawson's milestones

Between the 2023 Dutch Grand Prix, held at Circuit Park Zandvoort, and the 2025 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Liam Lawson (New Zealand) built the whole career. The on-track high point was a P5 finish at the 2025 Azerbaijan Grand Prix. It added up to 35 starts spread over 24 circuits in 21 countries, at 1.3 points per start. The most worn colours were those of RB F1 Team, for 28 races.

The points peak came in 2025, with 38. From the debut in 2023 to the last season in 2025, every year in the table above has its own page; the titles of the period sit with the Formula 1 world champions.
