On and off the track
Isack Hadjar was born in Paris in 2004, the son of Yassine Hadjar, an Algerian researcher in quantum mechanics who also worked as his karting mechanic, and was named after Isaac Newton. A Red Bull junior since 2022, he finished fourth in that year's F3 season with three wins and was runner-up in the 2024 F2 championship behind Gabriel Bortoleto, a spell in which the paddock nicknamed him the little Prost. His 2025 F1 debut with Racing Bulls began in the worst possible way, crashing alone on the formation lap in Australia, but he rebuilt his season with regular Q3 appearances and took his maiden podium with third place at Zandvoort, becoming the fifth youngest podium finisher in the sport's history. He closed his rookie year with 51 points and twelfth in the championship. The reward came with promotion to the senior Red Bull team for 2026 alongside Max Verstappen, in an up and down start to the season that included qualifying third in Australia only to retire with an engine failure.
