Discounts that mislead
Final price = price × (1 − discount ÷ 100)
Stacked discounts do not add up: 30% + an extra 20% is not 50% off: it is 100 → 70 → 56, a real 44% discount. "Buy 3 get 1 free" equals 25% off (not 33%). And always check the reference price: a "discount" from an inflated list price is not a promotion at all.
