healthy life expectancy by country

This ranking uses the latest annual figure available in the WHO Global Health Observatory. The year varies by indicator and country, so the table prints the year beside every value. How to read this indicator

Healthy life expectancy adjusts expected years of life for time lived in less than full health. The indicator helps separate total longevity from years lived in better functional health. It does not measure happiness, does not assess any individual and depends on models designed for cross-country comparison.
